Frequently asked questions
Can I get double bookings?
Your calendar stays in sync with Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo. A booking through your own site closes those nights there, and the other way round. With the direct connection that happens within minutes; through a channel’s calendar export, every few hours.
I’m on Smoobu, Lodgify or just Airbnb. How do I switch?
You create an account, add your home and prices, and your site is live. Then you connect the Airbnb and Booking calendars and put the link to your site in your Airbnb profile. You only cancel once you know it works.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Your site starts on your-name.houslr.com and you then connect your own address, say www.yourhouse.com. The dashboard explains which setting to change at your domain provider and checks that it is right.
Who receives the guest’s money?
You, directly. The guest pays through your own Mollie account with iDEAL, card or Apple Pay. Houslr charges no commission and does not sit between you and your money.
Does Houslr handle tourist tax?
Houslr calculates it per booking at your municipality’s rate, has the guest pay it and prepares a report every quarter for your return. You file the return yourself, using that report.
Am I tied in?
No. You try Houslr free for 14 days without a credit card; after that you can cancel monthly. Your data can be downloaded as CSV at any time.
