Security and privacy
Houslr keeps your data and your guests’ data in the European Union, separated per host and encrypted where it is sensitive. This is how we do it.
Separated per host
Every table in the database is bound to a host and the database enforces it (row level security). A host can never, not even through a bug in the software, see another host’s data.
Encrypted
Bank details, tax details (DAC7), connection keys for channels, payment service and locks, and PINs are stored encrypted in the database. Connections run over https.
In Europe
Servers and database are in the EU (Ireland). Daily backups. No data goes to countries outside the EU.
Logging in
No password: a link by email or your Google account. Team members have their own roles; a cleaner only sees their tasks.
Payments
Houslr stores no card details. The guest pays at Mollie; we only see the status. Mollie is PCI-DSS certified and supervised by De Nederlandsche Bank.
Your data
Everything can be exported as CSV. If you cancel, we delete your data after the statutory retention period. A data processing agreement is ready.
